Michael J. Chaiken is a transactional attorney in Dallas, Texas with extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of real estate and corporate matters. Michael’s practice includes providing commercial real estate and general corporate counsel to individuals, corporations and partnerships ranging from small independently held businesses to large Fortune 500 corporations. Michael has particular expertise in representing clients in the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposition of real estate throughout the United States, with a particular emphasis on retail properties.

Michael’s legal career spans more than 20 years with associations with the Dallas office of the New York based Weil, Gotshal & Manges, the mid-sized Dallas law firm of Munsch, Hardt, Kopf, & Harr, the boutique firm of Langley & Branch, the family firm of Chaiken & Chaiken, and currently Chaiken Legal Group, P.C.

Michael attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. Following his undergraduate education, Michael attended the University of Florida College of Law, where he was awarded the degree of Juris Doctor (with honors). Michael is a member of the State Bar of Texas and its Real Estate, Probate and Trust Section, the Dallas Bar Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Michael also serves on the Board of Directors for Promise House, a non-profit organization in Dallas that provides services to at risk, runaway and abused youth.
